Meghalaya’s iconic Living Root Bridges are handwoven marvels crafted by the Khasi tribe using the aerial roots of the rubber fig tree. The most famous is the Double Decker Root Bridge in Nongriat, a 3-kilometer trek from Tyrna village near Cherrapunji.
