Also known as Matabari, this revered temple dedicated to Goddess Kali is among the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism. Built in the 16th century by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, it features a unique turtle-shaped structure (Kurma Peetha). Pilgrims visit year-round, especially during Diwali when a massive fair is held.
